Amber Waves is an organic, non profit diversified farm in the Hamptons, NY. Read all about my visit with these inspiring stewards of the land committed to regenerative farming practices!

The fields of Amber Waves farm.

    Organic non-profit farm in Amagansett.
Focused on educational opportunities, especially for youth, in agriculture.
    Meaningful community member.
    Women owned.
Diversified farm, growing a vast array of vegetables, cut flowers, and wheat.
Inspiring stewards of the land with nourishingly beautiful regenerative farming practices I admire!

I once heard Alice Waters says that we vote for what kind of world we want to live in by what we choose to eat.  I choose to eat as much good, clean, Amber Waves delicious bounty as I possibly can!!!

How a Cali Gal ended up on a Farm in the Hamptons

When I’m not in the kitchen or behind the camera, you’ll find me either in the water or on a farm. So when the bf invited me to spend time with his family in Hamptons, I knew I had to add on some farm visiting and surfing in there too!

Naturally I extended my trip. Remembering I had a childhood bud with a summer pad in Montauk. So….

Surfing and farm visiting in the Hamptons here I come!!!

The Path to Amber Waves Farm

But which farm to go to… ?!?! That was question.

And I aspire to someday go to each and every one!

There’s a lot up there and a ton of regenerative and innovative agriculture going on… YAYA!

I asked my gal pal Rachel at theFeedFeed and my Instagram community for advice. The answer from both was loud and proud: Amber Waves!!! Ya gotta go to Amber Waves!

And I’m sure glad I did!!!

I just cold reached out. Can my camera  & I come for a visit pleasssssseeeeee I excitedly and persistently asked? A few DM’s and emails later it was set… Amber Waves here I come!

AMBER WAVES: thank you for welcoming onto your rad farm!!! I left on such a high and picked up enough bounty to cook a 7-course feast for 4 that evening!

    Arriving to Amber Waves

The Farm is easy to spot on the 27 by their gorgeous farm stand filled with fruits, veggies, baked goods and more. And get this… not only do they obvi bake their goods in house but they grow and mill the wheat in house that the baker bakes with. I honestly don’t know the last time I was at a bakery that grew and milled their own wheat… AMAZING!

If you’re in the area, def stop by to see what beautiful bounty from the earth they are harvesting!

Side note: Amber Waves also radiates that magical surf/farm combo: the joy I felt at seeing so many surfboards in cars on the farm. Reminded my of when I lived in Kauai!

Katie Baldwin, one of the owners, warmly greeted me. I was lucky enough to have the pleasure and privilege of spending time with her on the land behind the farm stand and then tagging along on an internal staff farm update tour!
