These baked peaches are a quick, easy summer dessert that highlights the natural sweetness of ripe peaches.

Baking concentrates their sugars, creating a deeper, richer caramelized peach flavor with minimal effort.

Ingredients: Peaches. Butter. Sugar. Cinnamon. Vanilla.
Ripe, juicy peaches are transformed from simple to sublime with very few ingredients.

If you can slice peaches and turn on your oven, you can make this recipe.

Think homemade peach pie… minus the pie.

Why This Baked Peaches Recipe Works

    • Quick & easy. Prep your peaches in 10 min or less for a delicious dessert with minimal effort.
    • Sweeten peaches without adding extra sugar. The heat concentrates their natural sugars for a sweeter, deeper, and richer peach flavor — no extra sugar required.
    • Versatile. Quantity can easily be halved or doubled and customized with different spices and sweeteners.

    How to Bake Peaches

Cut peaches in half, remove pit and arrange them, cute side-up, on a baking dish. Any size works, just be sure not to crowd the pan. Drizzle with melted butter and vanilla, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and let the oven do the rest of the work.

Optional: add other stone fruits, like nectarines, plums, pluots, apricots and more, to the baking dish.

The beauty of this colorful dish is in its simplicity. It’s what summer cooking is all about – highlighting fresh and local produce at the peak of their season in an easy way with minimal prep.

    When are Peaches in Season?

Peaches are the quintessential summer fruit — ripe, juicy, fragrant, and bursting with flavor.

In California, peach season runs from April through October, with July marking the height of harvest in the San Joaquin Valley, the state’s largest growing region.

With over 300 varieties grown in the U.S. and more than 2,000 worldwide, peaches range in flavor, texture and appearance. Visit your local farmers market to find connoisseur-quality favorites and unique varieties rarely found in grocery stores.

Food taste best grown in its own season. A really good summer peach tastes like a bite of sunshine to me.

    Serving Suggestions

Serve these baked peaches warm over yogurt, vanilla ice cream, ricotta, mascarpone, or whipped cream, spoon them onto oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, crêpes, or French toast. Drizzle with caramel or honey – or simply enjoy them straight from the baking dish.

I made a peach pie, but still have tons of peaches left over. Baking them is a great idea. Then I can have them with my yogurt.
